Forged from 1045 carbon steel with a custom 16-inch hickory handle. The main differences between the classic rounding hammer and this option include: the smaller and polished faces, deeper trough lines, and the handle style. The round face is ground like a squashed ball (though with more overall crown than a classic rounding hammer), with the radius decreasing toward the edge of the face.
